Delete your account
This page deletes an Enigma account and the data that belongs to it, without any app. The same can be done inside the app: Profile → Delete account.
Enter the e-mail address of the account. We send a link there; opening it confirms the request. The link works for 24 hours.
You will get the same answer whether or not an account exists for the address.
What happens
- The deletion is carried out 7 days after the request. Every device is signed out at once.
- Signing in during these 7 days cancels the deletion. So does the link in the letter we send.
- After the date the deletion cannot be undone.
What is deleted
- Your profile: name, user name, photo, biography, contacts and followers.
- Your goals and their history, your personal memory and settings.
- Your chats with the assistant and your Code dialogs, with their messages.
- Connected provider keys, MCP tokens, devices and notification subscriptions.
- Verification records, stories, reactions and votes.
What stays
- Messages you sent in groups and in personal chats stay with the people you sent them to, shown as “Deleted account”, the way other messengers handle it.
- Groups and channels you owned pass to the oldest administrator, or to the oldest member.
- Invoices and payment records are kept for as long as the law on accounting requires, under an id that no longer names anyone.
Subscription
An active subscription is cancelled on the day of deletion. The paid period is not refunded. If you want to use what you paid for, cancel the subscription first and delete the account when the period ends.
